Titkana Peak adopted in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924, as labelled on BC-Alberta boundary sheet 32, 1922; not "Ptarmigan Peak" as labelled on A.O. Wheeler's 1911 map of Mount Robson. Confirmed 17 January 1951 on 83SW, Jasper Park (north) sheet.
