Origin Notes and History:

Devil's Potholes Park established by Order in Council 3010, 8 August 1972, containing 6.8 acres. Area increased per OIC 489, 12 February 1973, the whole now containing 12 acres more or less. Name changed to Sooke Potholes Park per OIC 2984, 6 September 1973. Area increased per OIC 2344, 29 July 1976. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 7.28 ha. more or less.
