"Boca del Infierno is an original Spanish naming, very few of which are extant. For this reason, whilst the name translated means Bay of Fury or Bay of Hell, and therefore is objectionable, being in a foreign language its objection is not so apparent." (1933 memo from H.D. Parizeau, Canadian Hydrographic Service, file N.2.33)
