Another name for this feature is Mount Cain, according to "A Climber's Guide to the Interior Ranges of BC" by J.M. Thorington, 1937, p.112, and as labelled on Dept of Interior map, Kootenay, 1936; apparently a mis-interpretation of the provenance of the name.
