Origin Notes and History:

Fireside (Post Office) adopted 5 April 1961 on 94M/11. Form of name changed to Fireside (locality) 31 December 1982.

Fireside Post was opened 18 May 1961, so-named because of the "Fireside Inn" at Mile 543 that had been built the the U.S. Army in 1942.
