Named to remember Canadian Army Private Ernest E. Abbl, K1463, from Prince George; serving with the Calgary Highlanders, RCIC, when he was killed in action 8 February 1945, age 19; buried at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, Netherlands, grave V.A.14. Pte Abbl is survived by his parents Edward and Rachel Abbl, Prince George.
