Grand Rapids (Indian Village) adopted 2 November 1937 on 93K. Formerly Kuzkwa. Identified as Grand Rapids (Settlement) in the 1953 BC Gazetteer. Form of name changed to Grand Rapids (Community) 31 December 1978.
